Northen Group 

The SSSI Qld Northern Group extends a warm welcome to people working in the spatial industry from Townsville to the tip of Cape York, and all areas to the west, incorporating the Townsville, Cairns, Mackay, Cooktown, Whitsunday, and Mt Isa Town Groups.  All Town Group Convenors sit on the Northern Region Committee to play an active part in planning the region's activities.

The chair of the Northern Group (or his/her representative), sits on the Qld Regional Committee, participating in policy decisions which affect all Qld members, and keeping Northern Members closely linked to the whole of the Qld Region.

The Northern Group hosts two sub-regional conferences per year, usually in May and October, at venues around the sub-region.  Details of these events are posted to the Qld Events Calendar.

Central Group

The SSSI Qld Central Group extends a warm welcome to people working in the spatial industry from Bundaberg to Rockhampton, and all areas to the west, incorporating the Bundaberg, Rockhampton, Gladstone, South Burnett, Maryborough, and Emerald Town Groups.  All Town Group Convenors sit on the Central Region Committee to play an active part in planning the region's activities.

The chair of the Central Group (or his/her representative), sits on the Qld Regional Committee, participating in policy decision which affect all Qld members, and keeping Central Group  Members closely linked to the whole of the Qld Region.
