SSSI Queensland Region invites you, whatever your spatial discipline or interest, to participate in its many and varied activities.
The Queensland Region provides members with a warm, vital network in which to maintain their knowledge through the continuing professional development program.
Visit our events calendar to the right. Queensland Region is organised into three main geographical regions - the Southern Region comprising the Gold Coast, Brisbane and environs, the Darling Downs and Sunshine Coast and the Central and Northern Groups. The groups provide members from those areas with several conferences per year, and a lively network of town groups in the major centres.
You can participate through attending conferences, seminars and workshops, and contribute by serving on a local or regional committee or being active in your chosen Commission. You can enhance your professional skills by presenting a paper at one of the many conferences, chairing meetings or participating in forums.

We invite you to become an active, participating member of the SSSI in the Queensland Region. Your Regional Management Committee meets bi-monthly and welcomes member suggestions which would benefit your Institute.

QUEENSLAND SPATIAL EXCELLENCE AWARDS
The QSEA are the state equivalent of, and lead into the Asia Pacific Excellence Awards (APSEA). QSEA provides the opportunity for spatial information projects and professionals in the industry to showcase their achievements and demonstrate the 'Smart State' in action. QSEA is a celebration of the achievements of top spatial information enterprise in Queensland. Projects and professionals attaining recognition at this premier event are deemed outstanding achievers and pre-eminent in their field.

QUEENSLAND SURVEYING & SPATIAL CONFERENCE The Queensland Surveying and Spatial Conference (QSSC) is the highlight of the Queensland Region calendar occurring every second year. The QSSC assembles a leading edge technical program inclusive of all the spatial disciplines, focusing on themes of importance in the Asia-Pacific region, and of relevance to government, business, and local authorities, as well as spatial professionals.
The conference gives delegates the opportunity of combining a stimulating learning atmosphere with business networking and a great social program.
