The title of Certified Spatial Practitioner is conferred upon those successful applicants based on tertiary qualifications together with relevant spatial work experience obtained.

Certified Spatial Practitioners have a competitive edge in the fast-paced spatial professions. They are recognised by SSSI, the wider community and potential employers for their level of expertise and commitment to the spatial science professions.

Eligibility

Applicants must satisfy set educational and professional experience requirements in order to be considered for General Certification. In order to uphold the integrity of the spatial science profession in Australia and to protect the future interests of the community, SSSI exercises strict professional discretion when considering the quality of Certified Spatial Practitioners.

The following requirements apply to applicants:

• Applicants must successfully complete formal tertiary education in a spatial science discipline. As this level of SSSI Certification is General, the applicant may study in any spatial science discipline to apply.
• Depending on the level of tertiary education completed by the applicant, a further professional experience component must be satisfied.

2. Collect relevant supporting documentation for your application:
      - Professional CV
      - Academic transcript
      - Supervisor’s letter and referee report
      - SSSI Documentation as below
3. Complete your application and send complete to SSSI.

Submitting Your Application:

• Applicants must download all SSSI Documents
